Pedestrian access points at Soldiers and Jenny Dixon Beaches

Four vehicle and pedestrian access points at Soldiers and Jenny Dixon Beaches that were damaged by severe storms in 2021 will be replaced or repaired with $2.44 million in funding provided by the Australian and NSW Governments as part of the Community Local Infrastructure Recovery Program.
Royal Haskoning DHV are currently in the design stage of three of the four projects;

  • Soldiers Beach vehicle access ramp
  • Soldiers Beach northern stairs 
  • Jenny Dixon stairs

The fourth project is the Soldiers Beach stair access in front of the Surf Life Saving Club and as of Monday 7 August stair extension works will begin.

Our intention is to support respectful and sustainable use of the fragile coastline from Hargraves Beach to Pelican Point by establishing a NORAH HEAD NATIONAL SURFING RESERVE and promoting the values of: “SHARE, RESPECT and PRESERVE” in the community.
